U.S. News & World Report released their 2020 Best Jobs list, and the health care industry nabbed 14 of the 25 careers that made the cut.
Each of the 25 careers has an average salary of more than $100,000 and the jobs were ranked based upon on the highest pay. Other factors were taken into consideration such as unemployment rate, 10-year growth rate, future job prospects, and work-life balance.
Anesthesiologist landed the top spot, with a median salary of $208,000 and 1,500 projected jobs this year. Surgeons were close behind with the same required education level and median salary, but only 500 projected jobs in 2020.
Other health care careers on the list include OB-GYN, orthodontist, psychiatrist, physician, pediatrician, podiatrist, physician, optometrist, dentist, nurse anesthetist, and pharmacist.
